How are we doing?

Share your experience with us

At the ODUPD, we hold all of our officers to high standards of integrity and professionalism. It's important to recognize officers who exceed the expectations of those we serve, and celebrate the important connections we are building in our community. We also strive to maintain an open line of communication for citizens to share suggestions and file complaints.

Did you have a positive experience with one of our team?

We love to recognize our officers who go above and beyond in their duties, as positive reinforcement of officer behavior that builds trust and rapport in the community helps us to better serve you. To commend an officer, call 757-683-4003 or email police@odu.edu.

Do you have an idea or suggestion you'd like us to consider?

We are a responsive agency, always looking to grow and improve in our field. As such, we are open to hearing new ideas, fresh perspectives, and citizen safety concerns. To share your suggestion with us, email police@odu.edu.

Do you believe we have mishandled an incident?

We take complaints of officer misconduct seriously, and encourage those who have a complaint for alleged misconduct or improper handling of an incident to refer to our Citizen Complaint Guide. To file a complaint, call 757-683-4003 and ask to speak with an on-duty supervisor, or submit a Citizen Complaint Form.
