MonarchTeach Receives NSF NOYCE Grant to fund Scholarships
The MonarchTeach program received a NSF Noyce Track 1 Grant, which provides scholarship support to students in exchange for teaching in STEM fields in high-needs schools after graduation.
Two levels of support are available:
- GEMS Sprouts can receive a stipend for time spent supporting a teacher in one of our partner schools during the academic year for their first and second years in the MonarchTeach program
- GEMS Scholars can receive full scholarship support for up to two years with a commitment to teach in a high-needs school district upon graduation, usually in their third and fourth years in the MonarchTeach program
