MonarchTeach Receives NSF NOYCE Grant to fund Scholarships

The MonarchTeach program received a NSF Noyce Track 1 Grant, which provides scholarship support to students in exchange for teaching in STEM fields in high-needs schools after graduation.

Two levels of support are available:

  • GEMS Sprouts can receive a stipend for time spent supporting a teacher in one of our partner schools during the academic year for their first and second years in the MonarchTeach program
  • GEMS Scholars can receive full scholarship support for up to two years with a commitment to teach in a high-needs school district upon graduation, usually in their third and fourth years in the MonarchTeach program

Learn more about the GEMS program and apply at the ODU GEMS website
