President's Reports

Dear Monarch Nation,

For many years, Old Dominion University has consistently focused on the engagement and success of our students, as well as making an impact on our region, the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond that is both lasting and profound. These are the defining hallmarks of our powerful legacy and will continue to propel us as we move forward together.

And, as we look back at the 2021- 2022 academic year, it will be remembered as a busy and exciting time in which our bold vision for the future took center stage as we defined the path forward. With our campus sharply focused on our important work, we were driven by resilient hope, lasting change and powerful results.

Together, we generated excitement and momentum in pursuing our dreams for a better tomorrow for our students and our institution. Our progress and success were not attained alone. Our path was paved by the hard work and unwavering support of many - both near and far. Without question, this past year was a testament to the care of community and the power of partnership!

There is an optimistic and resilient spirit here at ODU. That spirit can be felt on campus, in our communities and across the Commonwealth. Together, we will be a forward-focused public research university that is both innovative and entrepreneurial as we propel ODU to national and international prominence!
