The Literacy Development and Research Center, at Old Dominion University, will build from, and advance, innovative research and practices aimed at supporting the important connections between democracy, citizenship, art, and the development of literacy for children age birth through grade 12.
Virginia Early Childhood Policy Center
The mission of the Virginia Early Childhood Policy Initiative (VECPI) at ODU is to develop materials and conduct original research that will lead to positive changes in early childhood policy and to provide useful information to parents, communities, schools and others directly involved with the wellbeing of Virginia's young children.
