TCEP Faculty conducting evaluation for Virginia Innovative Traineeship in Accelerators project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy recently awarded a five-year, $3 million grant to Old Dominion University in collaboration with Hampton University, Norfolk State University and the Jefferson Lab to promote training in accelerator engineering and physics among graduate students enrolled in the three universities. Dr. Shanan Chappell Moots will collaborate with faculty across the institutions and researchers at the Jefferson Lab to evaluate the project's impact on graduate students' participation in accelerator projects, development of academic and outreach skills, and preparation for careers in accelerators.
