COVID-19 is spread from someone who is infected breathes out droplets and very small particles contain the virus. The droplets and particles are breathed in by other people and land in the eyes, noses, or mouth. The particles can also contaminate touch surfaces

What is the ODU COVID-19 Mask Requirement?

Old Dominion University has resumed normal class offerings. The University requires masks in Student Health Services and students participating in clinical experiences and/or course labs are required to comply with the COVID-19 policies and procedures of their assigned clinical and/lab site.

How can I obtain a test for COVID-19?

ODU Student Health Services offer free COVID-19 PCR testing. To make an appointment visit the Monarch Wellness Portal or Virginia Department of Health to schedule.

What if I test positive for COVID-19?

The CDC calls for anyone who tests positive to isolate for five days wear a well-fitted mask when around others for an additional five days. If you think or know you have been directly exposed to COVID-19

Persons with a recent confirmed exposure should wear a well-fitting mask for 10days when indoors and should receive testing at day five or greater after exposure and sooner if symptomatic regardless of vaccination status

Do I have to report test results to ODU?

No, you are no longer required to complete a report if you test positive or believe you have been a close contact of someone who has tested positive. If you test positive do not attend classes, work, or events at ODU for five days or as long as you are sick.

How do I obtain meals if I'm on COVID isolation or quarantine?

If you reside on campus and/or have a meal plan please visit https://olddominion.campusdish.com/ to request a sick meal.

How can I obtain COVID-19 vaccine or booster?

To obtain a COVID-19 vaccine or booster visit https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/covid-19-vaccine/ or visit the next on campus ODU COVID-19 Vaccine Pop-Up Clinic. Please check your email for dates and times.
