AASL Research Award Winners Kimmel & Hartsfield Interview

Drs. Sue Kimmel and Danielle Hartsfield are recipients of the 2019 AASL Research Grant for their article "Does ALA Ban Books? Examining the Discourse of Challenged Books" (Library Quarterly, July 2019). They recently sat down for an interview with School Library Connection editor, Dr. Rebecca Morris, to talk about their research and what they discovered regarding the language, meaning and self-censorship surrounding banned books.
