Hiring Swim Instructors & Lifeguards

Are you looking for a summer job? ODU Recreation & Wellness is currently seeking qualified individuals to join the aquatics team for the summer months. We are looking for American Red Cross certified lifeguards and swim instructors to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.

Not certified yet? No problem! We're hosting a Water Safety Instructor certification class April 21-23 and Lifeguard certification classes March 10-12 and March 31-April 2. Sign up on the Rec Well Portal soon!

If you have a passion for swimming and enjoy working with people of all ages, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Applicants must be reliable, responsible, and able to work well in a team environment. The lifeguard pay rate is \$14.55 per hour and swim instructor is \$17.50 per hour.
