Mask Policy Update

As a result of the update to University Policy 1006 - COVID-19, fully-vaccinated patrons are no longer required to wear a facial covering while exercising in the ODU Student Recreation Center and University Fitness Center, effective immediately. Individuals are classified as fully-vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Un-vaccinated or partially-vaccinated individuals are required to wear facial coverings when exercising.

Any individuals experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath should not enter ODU recreational facilities and should contact their health care provider.

Please view our POLICIES page for the latest updates to our COVID-19 and masking policies. See the University Coronavirus page for campus-level updates.
