Gamma Theta Upsilon

Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) is the International Honor Society in Geography. The chapter at Old Dominion University is active in recruiting outstanding scholars from the student body. The purpose of GTU is to further professional interest, strengthen student training, and advance the status of Geography. It also serves to promote student research and provide funds.

Membership in GTU is a prestigious recognition of scholarship. Induction ceremonies are held annually, usually in the Spring semester. Initiates must have a minimum of three geography courses, have a B average in geography, a 3.0 GPA, and have completed at least three semesters of college. Contact Senior Lecturer Timothy Kidd, BAL 7004, tkidd@odu.edu, 757-683-3855 for more information.
