Jefferson Lab Researchships
The Thomas Jefferson National Facility (Jefferson Lab) plans to award physics researchships to at least six promising juniors enrolled in undergraduate programs at US institutions whose research interest correspond to activities to be conducted at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, Virginia (i.e., nuclear and related particle physics, or accelerator physics). The awards will be based on competitive evaluation of the applicant's academic qualifications, references, and essays.
The Jefferson Lab Undergraduate Physics Researchship (UPR) program is a summer research program held annually at Jefferson Lab. The program aims to recognize the nation's most promising undergraduate physics students and immerse them in the science of Jefferson Lab. The researchships provide students with the opportunity to interact with Jefferson Lab staff and visiting scientists in a learning/working environment. The program hopes to encourage these outstanding students to pursue advanced degrees in Jefferson Lab-related disciplines. Link to the application is here.
