FAQs

How can I join Epsilon Chi if I presently, or in the past, belong(ed) to another Sigma chapter?

If you are a present or past Sigma chapter member you will just need to call or e-mail the National Sigma site to transfer/join our chapter. Call toll free: 888-634-7575 or e-mail memserv@sigmanursing.org

I am a DNP student and am not sure which application to submit: Graduate or Community Leader.

Community Leader qualifications include experience in a leadership role. You must provide a summary with leadership roles in which you have been involved. Any ODU SON graduate student who meets the Graduate Student criteria can apply using the Graduate application.

What is the application deadline and induction dates?

We have a Fall induction ceremony typically in November and an online Spring application with virtual acceptance typically in April each year. Application deadlines can be found on the ODU SON Sigma site, which we update biannually.

What is the application process?

You will find application information as well as application links on the ODU SON Sigma site: https://www.odu.edu/nursing/stti/sigma-theta-tau-membership#tab124=1

Please send all applications to Dr. Tinnikka Robertson-Jones at tarobert@odu.edu. She will acknowledge your application and then you will hear back from Sigma shortly after the application deadline date.
