'TEACHING ONLINE' SUMMER INSTITUTE JUNE 27-29

The Center for Learning Technologies will hold the Teaching Online Summer Institute Monday to Wednesday, June 27-29.

The program, held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., provides Old Dominion faculty with opportunities to share and discuss successful online teaching practices. Topics include:

- Making a Successful Transition from Face-to-Face (F2F) to Online
- Teaching
- Preparing Online Courses � The Mechanics
- Teaching and Managing Your Online Course
- Managing Interaction in Your Online Course
- Managing Assessment and Evaluation in Your Online Course
- Collecting Student Feedback in Your Online Course

To complement this series, a Computer Literacy open lab will be held every day from 1:45-4:30 p.m. This activity is intended to help faculty overcome technological challenges in their efforts of technology integration. Facilitators will answer questions and share tips and best practices on technology, teaching and learning.

Door prizes of books and software will be drawn at the end of each morning session and breakfast and lunch will be served.
