It’s Graduation Weekend!

Graduation Weekend is here! While we know this is a bittersweet time for all who expected to participate in on-campus commencement exercises (that is now planned for April), we do not want to let this time pass without celebrating our grads and their accomplishments! Let everyone see your excitement and joy. They've earned it!

Here is what's planned over the next couple of days:

Friday

  • Catch the premiere of ODU's official Class of 2020 graduation video featuring a special message from ODU President John R. Broderick and videos from your fellow classmates at 11 a.m. EST on Facebook and YouTube. Can't join the watch party at this time? Watch the archived video on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram beginning Sunday.
  • The ULTIMATE Class of 2020 #FBF (Flashback Friday): Relive the past four years of your Monarch experience while jamming to our #ODUGrad Spotify playlist, curated just for you, Class of 2020.

Saturday

We know you are looking forward to hearing your name announced in-person during our rescheduled ceremony in April, provided it's safe to do so. However, until then, we want to celebrate your accomplishment virtually. The names will be announced in alphabetical order by degree level, with the doctoral candidates first, followed by the master's recipients, then the undergraduates. Be sure to tune in to see and hear your name in your official graduation video on Facebook.

Can't join this watch party online? Watch the archived video on Facebook and YouTube beginning Sunday.
