Maritime Researcher Selected to Serve on Board of International Transportation Journal

ManWo Ng, assistant professor of information technology and decision sciences in Old Dominion's Strome College of Business, was recently selected as one of six academics worldwide to evaluate maritime transportation and logistics academic papers submitted for publication in Transportation Research Part B.

Transportation Research Part B is an international journal that focuses on the development and solution of problems that are adequately motivated to deal with important aspects of the design and/or analysis of transportation systems. It is widely considered to be the number one ranked transportation academic research journal in the world based upon how often its papers are cited.

"ManWo's accomplishment further reinforces the reputation of Old Dominion University as a world leader in maritime transportation and logistics academic research," said Wayne Talley professor of maritime and supply chain management and executive director of Old Dominion's Maritime Institute.

Ng will begin his appointment as an editorial board member for the publication in 2019. He also serves on the editorial board of eight other transportation academic journals worldwide and has been appointed to be a member of two national committees of the Transportation Research Board, U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
