United States Flags at Half-Staff In Honor of Barbara Bush
April 18, 2018
President Donald Trump ordered United States flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of former first lady, Barbara Bush. Bush died April 17, at age 92.
"Mrs. Bush lived a life that reminds us always to cherish our relationships with friends, family, and all acquaintances," Trump said. "In the spirit of the memory of Mrs. Bush, may we always remember to be kind to one another and to put the care of others first."
The flag, ordered half-staff at sunrise, will remain lowered until sunset on April 21.
