Head of Institute for Global Engagement to Speak June 17

Old Dominion's Global Student Friendship program, which serves the University's international students, will present a speech by Chris Seiple, president of the Institute for Global Engagement, on June 17.
Seiple will speak at 7 p.m. in the Hampton/Newport News room of Webb Center on "Faith Reconciliation in an Age of Persecution - Why does it Matter?"
The Institute for Global Engagement is a research, education and diplomatic institution that builds sustainable religious freedom worldwide through local partnerships.
A former Marine infantry officer, Seiple is a graduate of Stanford, the Naval Postgraduate School and the Fletcher School for Law & Diplomacy. He serves on the Federal Advisory Committee to Secretary of State John Kerry.
The Global Student Friendship helps international students in such ways as offering arrival assistance and temporary housing, international dinner fellowship, international student class and other services.
