Partnership to Support Faculty Writing Success
October 15, 2015
Continuing writing productivity. Sharing challenges with others. Refreshing writing skills. They're all ways in which faculty members can maintain consistent production of published work.
At next Thursday's "Connect with Colleagues" event, a panel of experts will discuss how ODU's Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity, in collaboration with the Faculty Writing Studio, developed the Faculty Writing Group. It's designed to foster accountability, benchmarking and improved academic writing skills for faculty members who wish to increase and sustain their level of writing productivity.
Lean more about how the Faculty Writing Studio works from Stephanie Sanders, director for diversity initiatives; Christine Berger, assistant professor of counseling and human services; Jewel Shepherd, visiting assistant professor in the School of Community and Environmental Health; and Kideste Wilder-Bonner, joint lecturer in the departments of sociology and criminal justice and African American studies.
This panel discussion will take place in the conference room of the Learning Commons@Perry Library on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
