Transfer Agreement Provides Richard Bland College Undergrads Access to ODU Degree Programs

A transfer agreement signed Aug. 5 by the presidents of Old Dominion University and Richard Bland College of William & Mary, which is a two-year public institution in Petersburg, offers students at RBC a seamless way to move on to ODU to earn baccalaureate degrees.
Students at Richard Bland who meet academic requirements outlined in the agreement may transfer directly into bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree programs at ODU in the following courses of study:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Economics
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting
- Bachelor of Arts - Economics
- Bachelor of Science in Human Services
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Management
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Marketing.
ODU President John R. Broderick noted the significance of the agreement.
"This agreement provides a valuable educational opportunity," Broderick said, adding that similar partnerships have previously opened ODU's doors to a large number of students throughout the state. "It's always been a big part of our mission."
Richard Bland College has transfer agreements with more than 40 major public and private universities and colleges in Virginia.
"Access and seamless pathways to prestigious colleges and universities is a significant part of why students attend Richard Bland College. By saving students time and money on their journey to a baccalaureate degree, this agreement with Old Dominion University fulfills a promise that we make to our students," said Richard Bland College President Debbie L. Sydow.
