ODU Society of Women Engineers Sponsoring Student Tour of Stihl Inc. in Virginia Beach
April 22, 2014

Old Dominion University's Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has partnered with heavy equipment manufacturer Stihl Inc. for a tour of the Stihl facility in Virginia Beach Friday, April 25.
The event, to be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the company's facilities, 536 Viking Drive, will include personalized tours and interactive demonstrations of quality and industrial engineering. Lunch will be provided.
The event is free and open to all engineering majors. However, the SWE particularly encourages students in mechanical and aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and computer engineering technology, and modeling, simulation and visualization engineering to participate, as their skills are relevant to Stihl's mission in Hampton Roads. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to Stihl, but carpooling is strongly suggested.
Students can RSVP by logging in using their Monarch Key MIDAS ID, then going to: https://odu-csm.symplicity.com/students/index.php?mode=form&id=e840c795d75e8eb9da5df3a4fcf63139&s=event&ss=ws.
Or students can simply go through Careerlink and search for "Stihl Interactive" under "Events," then "Programs."
