Latin Ballet of Virginia to Perform ‘Kiss of the Bee’ on Oct. 16

The Latin Ballet of Virginia will present "El Beso de la Abeja, The Kiss of the Bee" at Old Dominion University on Oct. 16 in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month.
"El Beso de la Abeja, The Kiss of the Bee" celebrates the beauty of our planet and the value of bees to our livelihood. The choreography combines contemporary dance, authentic flamenco form, ritual dances from the Amazon and the Caribbean region dance techniques.
The 7 p.m. performance, which is sponsored by the College of Arts & Letters, Office of Intercultural Relations (OIR), and Student Engagement & Enrollment Services, will be held at the University Theater, at 5115 Hampton Blvd., in Norfolk. It is free and open to the public.
