ODU Selected as Region’s Best Higher Education Institution in Local Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards Survey

Old Dominion University has received awards from readers in two categories in the 2013 Readers' Choice Best of 757 Awards in Hampton Roads Magazine.

The university received Readers' Choice Awards for Best Higher Education institution and Best Child Development Center in the local publication's popular annual survey.

Readers selected ODU for the Best of 757 Gold award, as overall winner in the Best Higher Education institution in Hampton Roads category. The Best of 757 Silver award went to the College of William and Mary. Readers selected Christopher Newport University as the Best of 757 Bronze award winner.

In the Best Child Development Center category, readers selected the ODU Child Study Center and Child Development Center as Best of 757 Bronze winner. Best of 757 Gold went to Ghent Montessori School and Best of 757 Silver was awarded to the Goddard School.

With different categories including food and dining, shopping, health and beauty, home and garden, professional services, arts and entertainment, news, travel and leisure and attractions, the Readers' Choice Best of 757 Awards recognize individuals and businesses in the region as selected by the magazine's readers.

The awards are an annual staple in Hampton Roads Magazine, which has cemented its status as a leading monthly resource for arts and entertainment, fine dining, and local issues and interests since its debut in 2000.
