Auditions

The ODU Brass Choir holds auditions the first Monday of each semester 12:00-12:50 in Chandler Recital Hall. All music is supplied at the audition and consists of technical exercises, melodies and ensemble music. Everyone plays together on stage for the hour. You may be asked to play solo for brief passages. Roster is posted the next day outside Dr. Hall's studio, 2113. All are welcome to audition regardless of major.

The ODU Brass Choir

The ODU Brass Choir has been performing continuously since 1972 under the direction of William Bartolotta, and since 2006, directed by Mike Hall. The ensemble performs works written specifically for brass as well as arrangements of choral, orchestral, jazz, pop and show music. Performances are regularly given on and off campus featuring student as well as guest artist soloists. The choir often divides into smaller groups to perform chamber music. The Brass Choir rehearses MWF, 12:00-12:50 in Chandler Recital Hall.
