Whenever you make a purchase, your card is swiped through the card reader and the purchase amount is automatically deducted from the balance in your prepaid account.

• Your balance will display on the reader or be printed on your receipt.
  
• The cashier ends each transaction by checking your balance for you.
  
• You can also manage your account online or come in to the Card Center for a report.

Making a Deposit

When you're running low at any time during the semester, you may add money to your account in a variety of ways:

1. You can add money online at cardcenter.odu.edu

2. In person at the Card Center. We accept cash, checks, money orders, travelers checks, VISA, and MasterCard.
   

3. Mail a check using the student's UIN and name to the following address:

   Card Center
   Monarch Hall, Ste 1120
   Norfolk, VA 23529

NOTE: For security reasons we DO NOT take transactions over the phone

Parents may add money to their child's Monarch Plus account using their child's ODU student UIN.

If you are leaving the University, you can request a refund by going to the Card Center and filling out a refund request form. See Refunds for more information on how to request a refund on your account.
