ORCiD Workshop for Researchers

ORCiDs are the most valuable personal Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) for researchers, often required by funders and publishers. The University now has an ORCID membership which will allow you to automatically populate Digital Measures (ODU's Faculty Activity System) and other systems as needed from your ORCID profile.
An ORCiD is a permanent 16-number digital identifier (e.g., https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3599-1417) that distinguishes you from every other researcher, no matter how common your name.
On August 30, the non-profit organization will host a free, online workshop for researchers:
"Getting and using your free ORCID iD and ORCID record can help you save time and get credit for your work in funding, publishing, and research reporting workflows. Funding organizations, publishers, and research institutions are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers, so this workshop will help you make sure you are ahead of the game."
When: Wed. August 30, 2023 at 1pm - 2pm Eastern
