Poetry Spotlight for National Poetry Month 2022

Each day in April, a Virginia-affiliated poet will provide a poetry prompt to inspire the poet in all of us.

Check the Poetry Spotlight site daily for a new prompt.

Poet Deborah Miranda prompts us to:

Write a poem about a food that was important in your childhood.
Who prepares it? What memories make it so important?
Revel in at least two of the five senses.

The Poetry Spotlight is a feature of the new Virginia Poets Database, created by Luisa Igloria and supported by the Libraries through ODU Digital Commons. Contact Karen Vaughan kvaughan@odu.edu for more information.
