Poetry Spotlight: Black History Month 2022

In case you missed it...

Take a look at the Black History Month 2022 Poetry Spotlight.

In celebration of Black History Month 2022, Luisa Igloria, Virginia's Poet Laureate, conducted "flash interviews" with several Virginia poets. The poets shared how they work with their communities, what recent projects they're working on, and what works by Black poets/writers they consider essential.

Interviewees include our own Remica Bingham-Risher, Hermine Pinson, Nathan Richardson, and Molly Rufus.

Poetry Spotlight is a feature of the new Virginia Poets Database, hosted by ODU Digital Commons and supported by the Libraries. Contact Karen Vaughan kvaughan@odu.edu for more information.
