Advisory Committees
The Office of Information Technology Services' (ITS) mission is to provide high-quality cost-effective computing and communications services that meet the needs of the University community.
ITS fosters and supports excellence, innovation, best practices and effective communication in the use of computing and communications technologies in teaching, learning, research and administrative endeavors across the University.
Advisory committees are a valuable part of any IT organization. Currently there are four advisory groups that counsel and guide OCCS on strategies and decisions on information technologies.

Data Management Executive Committee (DMEC)

High-Performance Computing Advisory Committee (HPC-AC)
Provides counsel on the use of information technology for research purposes at ODU.
Geospatial Advisory Council (GAC)
Engages in strategic discussion regarding the direction and development of geospatial technologies at the University.
