CAMPUS-WIDE NETWORK OUTAGE
Earlier today (March 9), ODU experienced a network outage that affected access to several university systems including wired and wireless internet, VPN, telephones, and services hosted on ODU servers.
As of 2:10 p.m., the network was restored, and services were starting to come back online. We appreciate your patience as our engineers work to get everything fully restored.
The mission of Information Technology Services (ITS) is to provide high-quality cost-effective computing and communications services that meet the needs of the University community. ITS works closely with the University to support all campus technology needs.
ITS Help Online
Find the technology help you need, when you need it.
Lynda.com is now LinkedIn Learning. ODU faculty, staff and current students have full access to the entire online training library. What will you learn next?
Students, faculty and staff: Download the latest version of Microsoft Office, use Office Online, an store files in a 1TB OneDrive. All free.
Two-factor Prompt Attacks
Attackers are using phishing attacks to gain MIDAS credentials, then attempting to log in multiple times until users inadvertently allow the DUO push prompt. Once a user accepts the DUO prompt, the attacker then has access to the account for a period of time. Report suspected phishing emails to Phishing@odu.edu and any cybersecurity concerns to ITSHelp@odu.edu.
ITS offers a wide range of technology services and support.
