ACCESS EU

ACCESS EU represents a comprehensive strategy to create a community of well-informed opinion leaders, investors and citizens in the Hampton Roads region. It builds upon the natural trans-Atlantic relationship long established in this major port area, enhancing awareness and interest through a systematically integrated, eighteen month program of educational, community and network building programs, forging strategic alliances between regional and European stakeholders.
The program is based at Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia.

The International Literary and Cultural Studies Research Forum

This research forum will feature presentations on current scholarship by faculty and graduate students from ODU and other institutions within the wide field of international literary and cultural studies. For dates of presentations and discussions, please follow the link.

Model United Nations

The Old Dominion University Model United Nations Society is ODU's window on the United Nations and international activism. The Society's mission is promoting global, multicultural education and leadership experience through experiential learning, stressing student participation in simulation conferences and academic courses. We represent the university at model U.N., European Union, Nato and crisis simulation conferences around the country, and by organizing major simulations of our own, including U.N. Day in October and ODUMUNC, held every February. Membership is open to students from all colleges and disciplines at the university.

Civil Military Fusion Center

The Civil-Military Fusion Center and Civil-Military Overview (CFC/CMO) is an office under the control of NATO's Allied Command Transformation headquarters, which manages the flow of information between the military and civilian arenas during complex crises in an attempt to reduce any communication conflicts for first responders. The division chose to locate in Innovation Research Park at ODU to foster collaboration with students in ODU's Graduate Program in International Studies; further building upon the decade-long relationship between the University and NATO.
