Resilience

Old Dominion University's researchers are engaged in cutting-edge research related to all forms of resilience, including flooding and the built environment, green infrastructure, climate change and sea level rise, adaptation, cybersecurity, health, and community resilience, among others.

The ODU Institute for Coastal Adaptation & Resilience (ODU-ICAR) is a national center that advances the resilience of coastal communities by integrating scientific and engineering knowledge with human dimensions to develop innovative solutions.

The Commonweath Center for Recurrent Flooding Resiliency (CCRFR) is a collaboration of ODU, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and the Virginia Coastal Policy Clinic at William & Mary to provide technical and scientific support, federal and local policy support, and lead funding applications across Virginia.
