The Leadership and Management Development Certificate (LMDC) provides the opportunity to learn and collaborate by sharing experiences and knowledge with other colleagues. The mission of the program is to provide tangible knowledge and resources in the areas of leadership, coaching, communication, emotional intelligence, team building, diversity, and service excellence.
LMDC is a self-directed certificate program that combines both the HR-created synchronous, facilitator-led courses (registration required) and various electives from on-demand online courses found in the COVLC.
Eligible Participants:
- Administrative Professional Faculty
- Classified Employees
- Hourly Employees
Previous supervisory experience not required.

There are five core course requirements and two elective requirements which can be chosen from any HR professional development course. Courses may be taken in any order and there are no restrictions on completion time for certification.
