Patricia & Douglas Perry Honors CollegePrestigious Scholarship Support
Welcome to the Office of Prestigious Scholarships & Fellowships in the Perry Honors College
We provide individual mentoring to exceptional ODU undergraduates seeking merit-based, nationally-competitive prestigious scholarship and fellowship awards to fund graduate education, pursue research opportunities and projects, and gain high-level work experience. We offer a range of services and resources to help students to identify awards, fellowships, and scholarships and guide them through application preparation and processes. We welcome qualified students to develop a scholarship profile and strengthen their candidacy for highly competitive national and international scholarships and fellowships.
Although we are housed in the Perry Honors College, we serve the entire ODU undergraduate community. Contact us for an appointment to explore the possibilities if you:
- are an outstanding undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.7 or higher
- have completed 18 or more credit hours at ODU
- have a strong record of community service or other activities or involvements
- have an interest in continuing research or graduate study
- and have a strong track record of creative or intellectual endeavor
We look forward to meeting with you.
The deadlines for the Brock Foundation Endowed Honors Scholarship, the Cranmer-Skinner Scholarship, and the Robert T. Cahill and Amanda J. Cahill Scholarship have been extended to April 15.
In addition to being eligible for a wide variety of other scholarships available to ODU students, Honors College students can apply for the following scholarships in the spring semester of each academic year:

National and International Scholarships
Each year the Prestigious Scholarship Committee selects students who will represent Old Dominion in several scholarship competitions:
- The Rhodes Scholarship
- The Truman Scholarship
- The Marshall Scholarship
- Gates Cambridge Scholarships
- The Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship
- The Mitchell Scholarship
If you are interested in competing for one of these awards, please contact the Perry Honors College (perryhonorscollege@odu.edu) in the second semester of your sophomore year so that you can be informed about the internal review process, application materials, and deadlines. In order to receive Old Dominion University's endorsement for one of these scholarships, you will need to submit materials for the university's internal review process, and the Prestigious Scholarship Committee will need to select you as one of Old Dominion's applicants for the scholarship competitions.
