Are you interested in the business side of sports? Take your passion to the next level with a degree in Sport Management. Our undergraduate and graduate programs will provide you with the sports business knowledge, skills, and hands-on industry experience you'll need to get into the game and on your way to a challenging and rewarding career!

B.S. in Sport Management

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions within the sport industry. Students acquire knowledge and skills needed for careers with professional sport teams and leagues, intercollegiate athletics, sport facility and event management companies, sport marketing agencies, and other sport-related businesses.

M.S. in Sport Management

This program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles within the sport industry. Students are provided with theoretical and practical knowledge to face the opportunities and challenges associated with sport business careers. The curriculum is consistent with current principles and practices of academic and sport marketplace standards.

Both the graduate and undergraduate sports management programs at Old Dominion University require the completion of a 400 hour internship experience in a sport related job setting. The internship experience is usually taken as the final or culminating experience in the student's sports management academic program. *Please note: Graduate students may complete a thesis option in place of the internship experience.
