The Career and Advising Resource Center (CARC) provides career and academic advising services for students in the Darden College of Education & Professional Studies. Students who visit CARC are encouraged to plan for their academic program and investigate career opportunities through exploration and engagement with an academic advisor.

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is an interdepartmental resource center where students design, collaborate, and extend learning to drive innovative solutions within their field of study. At the LRC, students will find a variety of tech tools, resources, and available study space locations to support learning.

The Center for Movement, Health, & Disability (CMHD) is a training and research center engaged in evaluating and understanding health disparities among persons with disabilities and other health conditions, and to implement research-based trainings/programs to enhance well-being among these populations.


Summer Camp

Children's Learning & Research Center  

A program that focuses on the early care and education of ODU's youngest students while serving as a training facility for our students in early childhood and elementary education.

Center for Implementation and Evaluation of Education Systems  

The Center for Implementation and Evaluation of Education Systems (CIEES) is ODU's first center to focus extensive grant funds on the comprehensive improvement of education systems for K-12 students with diverse learning needs. With over 60 million dollars in grant awards from state and federal agencies and not for profit organizations, CIEES is uniquely situated to create meaningful change in the outcomes of students with and without disabilities. CIEES provides leadership, evaluation, and implementation support for initiatives addressing positive behavior interventions, multi-tiered systems of support, social-emotional learning, teacher preparation programs, and professional learning. Our goal is to support education as a platform for social change: change that ensures equitable opportunities for all individuals.

International Institute for the Advancement of Counseling Theory  

Developed by Dr. Ed Neukrug, the Batten Endowed Chair of Counseling in the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies (DCEPS), the International Institute for the Advancement of Counseling Theory's (IIACT) main goal is to advance the understanding of counseling theory globally through research, grants, and resources.

The Virginia Early Childhood Policy Center at ODU believes that ensuring the wellbeing of Virginia's children is crucial to the long-term success and vitality of our Commonwealth.
