DCEPS Research Support Center Launches to Empower Research Excellence

The Darden College of Education & Professional Studies (DCEPS) is proud to announce the official launch of the DCEPS Research Support Center, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering research excellence within the academic and professional community. The DCEPS Research Support Center is committed to assisting faculty in their pursuit of impactful scholarly activities.
Research plays a pivotal role in driving positive change and making a difference in our community and beyond. Recognizing this, the center aims to provide essential resources and support to individuals balancing research responsibilities alongside their other commitments.
The mission of the DCEPS Research Support Center is to maximize the impact of scholarly activity by:
- Promoting interdisciplinary relationships among faculty, students, and community partners.
- Establishing platforms and networks to facilitate the sharing of new knowledge.
- Developing robust infrastructure for funding development and resource acquisition.
- Offering professional development and mentorship programs that pave the way for research excellence.
As one of the top 5% of universities nationwide to earn the prestigious Carnegie "Research 1" Classification, ODU has a rich tradition of very high research activity. The establishment of the DCEPS Research Support Center underscores our commitment to further enhancing the research capabilities of our academic community.

The DCEPS Research Support Center has hired one graduate assistant dedicated to assisting research faculty with creating graphics and data visualizations. Furthermore, the center is in the process of searching for another graduate assistant who will specialize in copy editing. These additions will further bolster the support available to DCEPS faculty members as they pursue their research endeavors.
