ODU Professor Receives 2020 Outstanding Leadership Award from Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders

Dr. Robert A. Gable, Constance F. and Colgate W. Darden Professor of Education and eminent scholar in the Department of Communication Disorders & Special Education at Old Dominion University's Darden College of Education and Professional Studies, recently received an award from the Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders (CCBD).

Gable, who started teaching at ODU in 1984, was lauded for his exemplary leadership and contributions in the field of behavioral disorders. The award was presented to him on February 6, 2020 during the annual CCBD General Membership Meeting in Portland, Oregon.

Gable's expertise is in functional analysis of behavior, behavior management, and e-coaching.
