How to Begin Receiving Services

Due to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 global pandemic, masking is required for all in-person counseling visits. We also offer virtual counseling options for students.

For virtual appointments you must physically be in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of your appointment to receive psychiatric, group, or individual counseling services due to licensure regulations.

To Schedule a Non-Emergency Appointment, You May:

Online scheduling will be available from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday-Thursday, and 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on Fridays.

For urgent and/or crisis services, please call our office at 757-683-4401 and press Option 2 to speak with a crisis counselor. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to all registered ODU students, regardless of their location.

Forms Must be Completed Before Your Initial Appointment

On the day you want to schedule an appointment, you may call, walk in, or schedule online. Follow the procedures outlined below, depending on how your appointment is scheduled.

If you schedule your appointment by phone or in person

If you schedule your appointment by phone or in person, you will be asked to complete some forms, which must be done before your appointment is scheduled to begin. You can come to the office 30 minutes before your initial appointment, or 10 minutes before a follow-up appointment, or you can complete your forms online.

To complete your forms online, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the URL: https://oducounseling.titaniumhwc.com/
  2. Follow the prompts to access the Portal
  3. Choose either "First Appointment Forms" (if you have not received services at OCS within the current academic year), or "Follow-up Forms" if you have already had an initial appointment this year.
  4. If you have chosen a virtual appointment, once your forms have been processed, a Zoom invite will be sent to you. Please join it at the time of your appointment and you will enter a counselor's virtual Waiting Room.
  5. If your appointment is in-person and you have already completed the forms online, simply come to Counseling Services at the scheduled time of your appointment.

If you schedule your appointment online

If you schedule your appointment online, you will be directed to complete the required paperwork before scheduling your appointment.

To schedule online, please click on the URL: https://oducounseling.titaniumhwc.com/

  1. Follow the prompts to access the Portal
  2. Choose either "Schedule My First Appointment" (if you have not received services at OCS within the current academic year) or "Schedule My Follow-up Appointment" if you have already had an initial appointment this year.
  3. You will have the option to choose between a virtual or in-person appointment. (Please note that not all counselors have availability for all appointment types.)
  4. Once you have completed the required forms, you will be able to choose an appointment time that is open.
  5. If you have chosen a virtual appointment, once your forms have been processed a Zoom invite will be sent to you. Please join it at the time of your appointment and you will enter a counselor's virtual Waiting Room.
  6. If your appointment is in-person and you have already completed the forms online, simply come to Counseling Services at the scheduled time of your appointment.

Unfortunately, if your forms are not completed prior to the start time of your appointment, you will need to be rescheduled.
