Description
Get excited! Gabby Rivera is coming to ODU to give a keynote lecture on Queer Latinx Joy & Radical Storytelling. You might know Gabby for her work with Marvel in creating the portal-punching queer Latina powerhouse, America Chavez, or for her debut novel Juliet Takes a Breath. Join us on March 22 at 6:30 PM to hear about Gabby’s experiences as a queer Puerto Rican from the Bronx and as an LGBTQ youth advocate - and the importance of prioritizing joy in QTPOC communities. This is a collaborative effort between the Darden College, the College of Arts & Letters, Gay Cultural Studies, and the Women & Gender Equity Center.
