Cybersecurity Lecturer Position Open

Old Dominion University is hiring non-tenure track faculty to support its interdisciplinary cybersecurity major. The non-tenure track faculty will offer online courses in information technology and computer science as well as other areas that make up the cybersecurity major. Old Dominion is located in the metropolitan Hampton Roads region of coastal Virginia, home to the world's largest natural deep water port and third largest port on the East Coast, the Atlantic headquarters of NATO, and Naval Station Norfolk, which houses the U.S. Navy and U.S. Fleet Forces Command. The University currently enrolls more than 24,000 students with almost 5,000 graduate students. Undergraduate majors in cybersecurity, cybercrime, cyber operations, and enterprise cybersecurity are offered along with a minor and two graduate certificates.

Cybersecurity programming at Old Dominion is coordinated through the university's Center for Cybersecurity Education and Research. This interdisciplinary initiative currently includes faculty from a range of disciplines including computer science, engineering, psychology, criminal justice, business, information technology, and philosophy. Details about the initiative are available at https://www.odu.edu/ccser. We are especially interested in faculty able to teach in an interdisciplinary environment.
