Mission Statement
The Theatre Program follows a five part mission, designed to complement the larger mission of the University, while emphasizing the unique qualities that our form offers within society:

to prepare students as effective leaders in society through a solid liberal arts education;

to prepare a new generation of theatre artists as entrepreneurs;

to educate tomorrow's arts advocates about the importance of a society's cultural expression;

to preserve and expand the tradition of theatre through creative research;

to enrich the cultural and educational life of the Hampton Roads community.
