Before contacting Commencement@ODU, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions documents, as many common questions and concerns are addressed there.
It is strongly recommended that you email your questions to Commencement@ODU rather than call
Please set the subject as "Commencement Question." Other subject lines or a lack of subject line may result in the email going into the SpamTrap and/or being deleted. This is particularly important if you are using a non-ODU email address that does not display your name in the "From" field.
Please be certain to include the following information in your email:
Your full name
University ID Number (UIN - no social security numbers)
Your specific question
Your email will be returned in the order in which it was received within 5 business days, unless an auto-response message informs you otherwise.
Your best source of information for these questions is your academic advisor. He or she is most familiar with you, your record, and your goals. If you are unable to contact your advisor, contact the Dean's Office of your academic college.
The Registrar's Office can assist you with your questions concerning your Application for Graduation, diploma appearance and distribution, and eligibility for graduation.
Your first step should be to visit the senior assessment website at www.odu.edu/senior. There is additional contact information at their website if you need furter assistance. Commencement@ODU is not involved with the senior assessment.
