ODU-Hampton Roads ACS Joint Poster Symposium - Spring 2024
Join us February 24!
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads ACS are jointly organizing a Poster Symposium. This will be an exciting day to showcase the latest Chemistry and Biochemistry findings by undergraduate and graduate researchers. Awards will be given to the best undergraduate and graduate student presenters from each university in attendance.
Spring 2024 Poster Symposium Schedule
- 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | Registration (New Chemistry Building Main Lobby) and poster set-up (New Chemistry Building Open Commons - North End)
- 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. | Poster session (New Chemistry Building Open Commons - North End)
Poster boards will be 48” wide x 36” high. The poster board includes two folds; fold dimensions are 12” x 24” x 12”.
- 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Lunch (New Chemistry Building 1002 – Active Learning Center)
- 1:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. | Science Trivia (New Chemistry Building 1002 – Active Learning Center)
- 2 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. | Awards ceremony (New Chemistry Building 1001)
- 2:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. | Planetarium show (New Chemistry Building 1001)
Directions and Parking
Presenters and visitors can park in Garage A (43rd and Elkhorn Avenue, shown by white arrow in the map below) right across the New Chemistry Building (black arrow in the map below), which can be accessed via Elkhorn Avenue off 43rd Street.
Registration
Please register for this free event by Thursday, February 15, 2024. Registration is recommended, but required for poster presenters.
