Dragas Family Scholarship funds a first-year or sophomore, undergraduate, international applicant from Greece planning to study at Old Dominion University. International applicants are individuals intending to apply for an F-1 visa who hold citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who don't also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
I am sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient of the Dragas Scholarship. Dragas Scholarship gave me the opportunity to study at Old Dominion University and pursue my master's degree in Special Education. By awarding me the Dragas Scholarship, I was allowed to focus on my education and make my goals and dreams a reality that I would have otherwise had to forsake in light of financial constraints. I have been very blessed to meet amazing people who supported me the whole time and continued helping me even after my graduation. I hope one day I will also be able to help struggling students reach their goals in higher education by assisting them in the same way the Dragas Scholarship helped me.
