Funded by an National Institute of Health NIGMS Graduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enchancement (G-RISE) grant, the G-RISE at ODU will accept its first cohort May 2021. The G-RISE at ODU training program is designed to increase diversity among students pursuing Ph.D. degrees in the biomedical research related disciplines at ODU that enter the biomedical research workforce. The program enables underrepresented students to discover new knowledge to shape the future of biomedical research. The G-RISE scholarship program awards qualified students based on academic merit. A 6-week summer doctoral bridge program, internships at biotechnology companies and government national laboratories, academic and social workshops are some of the activities that leads to an exceptional experience.

Your vision for success has no limits here, whether that's through a doctoral degree program in Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Health Psychology, and Mechanical Engineering as resources include biomedical research centers and the freedom to pursue what inspires you!
