The topics-based mentorship program is intended to provide resources for faculty in navigating issues where mentorship from within a department may not be optimal and where strategies and advice easily translates across academic fields. All mentors have agreed that any sensitive information shared with them will remain confidential.
The topics-based mentorship program is overseen by the Arts & Letters Faculty Development and Diversity Task Force. Inquiries, requests for new topics, and offers to serve as mentors can be addressed to Task Force Chair Nicole Hutton or Topics-Based Mentorship Program Coordinator Justin Remhof. We welcome offers from any full-time faculty members to mentor on any topic, and are especially seeking mentors on setting limits to service obligations, negotiating bureaucracy, toxic departmental dynamics, faculty disability issues, and issues for religious minorities.
