Student Scholarships

Undergraduates enrolled as a Jewish Studies Minor and engaged in a research project in Jewish Studies or a member of Hillel at Old Dominion University are encouraged to apply for the Oscar Brandeis/Frances Levy Birshtein Scholarship and the Schwetz Scholarship Fund of the Tidewater Jewish Foundation.

Faculty Grants

The IJIU Faculty Grant assists full-time faculty in defraying the costs for conference travel to present papers related to topics in Jewish Studies and Interfaith Understanding.
The aim of the initiative is to highlight and encourage faculty research in Jewish Studies and lay the foundations for possible future endowed support of faculty research endeavors.
Funds will be awarded as follows:
- Up to $250 for domestic or Canada conference travel
- Up to $500 for international conference travel
Awards will be offered to a maximum of $500 per faculty member per year.
