United Nations Day
ODU United Nations Day 2023

UN Day welcomes students from all over campus to be an ambassador for a day.
The ODU Model UN Society's premier on-campus activity, ODU United Nations Day, commemorates the creation of the United Nations in 1945. Co-sponsored by the ODU chapter of UNA-USA, UN Day is your opportunity to learn about simulations, conferences and how the United Nations really works.
ODU's UN Day 2023 was an extraordinary success. Students were registered for over 60 countries, representing Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University and Regent University. It was intense and raucous, with weeks of UN debate compressed in a six-hour simulation, chaired by ODU's Blaizen Bloom. Awards went to six participants—newcomers all.
