Welcome to Old Dominion University's Model United Nations College Conference, MonarchMUN! This year MonarchMUN will convene over Zoom on 5-7 October 2022. Organized by Old Dominion University's dedicated and experienced Model United Nations Society Secretariat, and modeled after 44 consecutive years of successful high school Model United Nations conferences, MonarchMUN elevates experiential learning to a new level, giving participants unparalleled insights into the politics of international affairs.
The conference introduces students to the U.N., international issues, legislative processes and parliamentry procedure. Participants practice diplomacy, public speaking, cooperation, compromise as they build greater understanding of cultural and ideological diversity in and creative and engaging setting.
